I'm looking at purchasing Eibach Pro springs for my MSP. I want to replace my struts at the same time. What i can't figure out is the rear strut perch height issue.

Honestly I've been reading posts on the issue and getting myself more and more confused....... :wtf:

I would most likley stick with the HP's but I am entertaining getting Illuminas. Any input would be appreciated!!!!

if you will be replacing the struts along with the springs, it becomes a moot point. just upgrade, and enjoy.

To summarize ..

If you put on lowering springs while still using the stock struts, the back end of the car will sit higher than the front due to the higher perch height in the rear. The 'raked' look will become even more noticable if you use certain types of lowering springs that already come with an uneven drop (lower in front, higher in rear), since THAT slant will be in addition to the already-present slant of the stock struts.

If you purchase Illuminas -- which I highly recommend -- then, like njaremka said, you won't need to worry about it.

im getting a set of illuminas as well, but going back with stock springs, is my car going to sit level? i cannot stand a raked look on anything. idk why but it drives me insane.
