Rear Fender Liner

So I just put on my RX8 Rims w/ 225/45/18 Blizzaks to test fit for winter, and the rears are rubbing on the inside of the fender wells against the liners.Car is lowered on Eibach Pro kit.
Has anyone removed the liner? It's not all metal behind the liner is it?
(Read somewhere that it's for sound deadening purposes)
Is this fabric pliable and re moldabe if you heat it up?

Rear fenders do not have plastic liners. If your rubbing you will have to get your rear fenders rolled/trimmed......

Speed 6 rear fenders do have the fabric liner. I managed to heat up the fabric with a heat gun and flatten out the spots that were too close. Next problem is that the 225's are too close to the A arms, so i'm going to go with new 215/45/R18's on the RX8 rims

In winter you go skinnier increase sidewall. Do you have another set of wheels or some steelies you can use for winter?

Stock 6 is 17x7 +60 with a 215/50 tire. Get as close as you can to high offset and 7" wheel and you'll be fine.

My speed 6 has 18" stockers and the stock size is 215/45/18 I believe.
I want to use the rx8 wheels which I believe are 50 offset. Won't 215/45/18 work?

You want to reverse that. RX8 wheel is 8" wide and stock is 7" so you want to put stock size winter wheels on stock rims and get some sticky fun tires for the rx8 wheels.

OK, I'm still tring to figure this all out, so bear with me please.
1. The 225/45/18's on the RX8's now are too close to the A arms, about an index finger thick of clearance. So they won't work. With that being said, what tire size do you think would be ideal for these for summer? For winter also if i go that route?

2. Should I try spacers to push these out from the A arms? (To save having to buy new winter's this year)

3. On my 18" stockers currently have 215/45/ZR18's with plenty of clearance.
What would be the right size for Winter treads on these rims, and what would be the biggest I could go on Summer tires, bearing in mind the above clearance with 225's?

Thanks in advance Brandini and anyone else that chimes in.

1) Do they hit the shock tower when you lift the car? If you compress the spring with them installed do they contact any part of the suspension or wheel well?

2) Spacers are not common on a 6 since outer fender clearance in the rear is the usual culprit. You may have to have your fenders rolled to fit those wheels on the rear. I'm stock height with the RX8 wheels with 235/40/18 and I don't rub at all. I am also within 0.5% of wheel/tire package rotation from stock so I know I'm not taller than stock, but I'm definitely wider.

3) winter get stock size!
Summer on the RX8 wheels you should get a 40 series tire in 225 or 235 (it may take a test fit).

My car is lowered on Eibachs. I think 225 is too close to the A arm, felt like they were rubbing driving and going around a corner. I'm thinking spacers, and have no problem with rolling the fenders if need be
