Not an aerial shot. Photographer just at higher altitude as we climb Pike's Peak.

Yes, I codrove that yellow Proteg. Same driver as yellow Rx7.

No, it was just an exhaust gasket so we had no turbo boost after about 3 miles into hillclimb. 2005 was a building year for the Mazda3. Will be back in 2006.

No. Mazda3 is what Mazda wanted to build. More of a tuner car. AWD would have put it into Open class.

Doubt it. The Protege is only semi-retired now that the Mazda3 is done. But I'm sure copies can be made. You can also get prettu much generic light pods which just require some triming to fit to most hoods.

I had some. A way cool airborne shot. But the computer I had them saved on got fried.

I'll be crewing at Ramada. If you're there, I'll be the one with the white GTX (not racing, just working).

Any idea why he went to the expense of putting a cossie motor in there instead of just turboing the 2.3L Mazda engine?
