Radio works but no display

I dropped my face today but it didn't pop out of the case. When I put it the deck, my stereo works fine but there is no display! Has this happen to any one?

Should I get it replaced thru the dealer or thru kenwood?

Try resetting it (button on the front - push with a ballpoint pen). Try pushing the "menu" button to make sure your preferences are still in. . Make sure the contacts on the back of the face are clean and aligned. Sit in the driver's seat with your right foot on the ground outside, say three Hail Mary's, and reinstall the face. It *may* work. If not, I vote getting it replaced thru the dealer, but you'll have to conveniently forget your "I dropped it" line or you're outta luck.

well...doin all that stuff don't work for me and going to the dealer seems like a lost cause. sooo...

any selling their face plate or know where I can get one? Kennwood sells a replacement faceplate for 250.00:eek:
ordering thru them is a last resort. If i were to pay that for a new faceplate..I might as well save for a new radio..right?

Try the dealer first. Otherwise, check with 1stMP3inNH - he may know of a radio/headunit that'll plug right in for less than $250. That, or call Crutchfield for a fit recommendation... but no sense in NOT trying the dealer - if they say no, you're only back where you are now. If they say yes, you've saved $250. Your choice - and good luck!
