This morning I started the vehicle and there was no display on the dash for the radio or cd. The words BOSE SOUND displayed upon startup but then no status for AM/FM CH1 or CD or anything. Also there was no SOUND. (Yes, the system was turned on, not muted, and I had one CD loaded.) I tried to eject my CD an then all the disk numbers 1 thru 6 showed up and the CD kept loading and ejecting. The clock and temperature readings/settings are displayed as normal. I do not have the Navigation system. When I got to work I tried restarting to see if it was some kind of "file error" but the display and sound remained dead. When I last drove it Saturday evening, all was working OK. Has anyone heard of or expirienced this?

Sounds similar to the problem I've encountered with the CD player. Since burn my own CD's, after awhile the CD player will error out for some reason and won't load the cd. The radio still works but won't go into CD mode. It says theres a CD in there but won't load. To solve this problem when it occurs is after the shut the car down, start it back up and hit the eject button. CD ejects and I can load the CD again and everything works fine. Most likely that's the problem. You should still be able to change from AM and FM modes but the CD player won't work when this problem occurs.
