Protege trunk

Hello my wife has an 03 protege that I'm building a small sub box for the trunk. I have "L" brackets to bolt it to the floor of the trunk, but I don't want to drill into the trunk without knowing what I'm drilling into. It will have a bracket on the right side close to the seat, and another close to the seat in the middle.. Anything I should look out for?

Just the back side of the fuel tank, lol.

Yeah that's what I was afraid of.. Is there a diagram somewhere that shows where the tank is? Or can I see it from under the car?

Wait so I'm confused. The fuel tank is directly under the back seat? I could just bolt 2 brackets on the front of the box which would place them somewhere around 9 to 11 inches away from the back seat. Would that be okay?
