Protege 18s Rub, HELP!! Aftermarket struts needed?????

Right, he needs to go down to a 215/40/18.

I chose the 40 profile tire because of pot holes. I don't want to damage my rims.

I was just saying he doesn't HAVE to go with the 35 series profile tire.

The thing is, I'm not lowered.

Ok, its confirmed that its NOT the struts like I thought, it is in fact the tire against the fender well.

My tire isn't too big, the wheels are just too wide so when the body goes down, the fenders run into the tire.

Good news, they're not really bad, like they don't stick out a lot a lot from the fender but I'm not sure how much it'll cost to roll the fenders or if I might be able to bend in the lip in the fender in with a hammer myself.

we'll see

if you do try a DIY method, just be very very careful that you don't break the paint, or else you'll begin to develop rust there

This is where the narrower tire comes in, bud.

The slight difference may be all you need. A 215 tire is 10mm smaller then a 225, so it may be enough to clear. I agree, rolling your fender will also fix the issue. Aren't you glad it was this simple??
