Did anyone else catch "According to Jim" on ABC last night? Jim Belushi was in an auto showroom standing around in front of a Midnight Blue Protege5!

Cindy Crawford came in as the Dealership manager and she's standing there flirting with him and bending over in this tight skirt and...Oh wait I digress!!! The P5...

I thought it was pretty cool that who ever made the decision on which car to use in those scenes chose our car. It looked great

The first commercial use of the p5 I saw was a while back when blockbuster started using the hamster and rabbit in their tv spots. You can catch a midnight blue mp5 drive by at the start of the commercial. I believe it was the second commercial they did. Anyway, I thought that was cool...

there was a thread too, there was one in final destination 2 that drove by the apartment, a silver one. do you think mazda is paying for this?

A while ago there was I think a yogurt or breakfast bar commericail that had a bunch of lady's getting in thier cars in the morning. One of those cars was a P5. you can tell by the interior. It drives by too fast to notice from the outside though.

I doubt they pay for it...unless you see an obvious shot of the mazda logo, it is just a coincedence. Alot of times its someone's car that is working on the shoot. However, sometimes the head company has a contract with a specific brand and all their commercials will have a small shot here or there of the other company's products.

When companies pay for advertisement its usually pretty obvious. For example, The shot of Forest Gump's Nike shoes as he ties them on his porch, or Rene Russo chugging a Pepsi One in "The Thomas Crown Affair."
