Potential vacuum leak

Hi Mazda brothers, my car has been down and out for the last 2-3 months. I'm pretty sure it has a vacuum leak. I bought all the silicone hoses, 3.5MM and 4MM. Is there a write up and how the change these damn things. I am stumped as hell as in to what goes where. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ray

Need help bros, i will pay someone to swap out all the old hoses and figure this problem out.

Go to a shop, do a smoke test through the top of the intake manifold where the port is for the vac line to the cruise control with a smoke machine. If any smoke comes out somewhere you got a leak there. From there you can start plugging in the new ones. Id do it for you if you lived in WA.

Thanks a lot for the advice bro. I'll explain the problem as best as I can. I changed some/most of the vacuum lines in my car this past weekend. I also checked for a crack in the cold pipe(none was discovered). The problem still persists though. The problem is when I accelerate, the car drives fine and runs okay. When I shift it into nuetral, when coming to a complete stop, the car will suddenly drop in RPM's and basically die. The idle drops all the way until the CEL comes on and the idle sputters back up to like 600 RPMS. I though this could be fixed with the new vacuum lines but unfortunately, that is not the case. I am lost tbh LOL

Having the same problem my friend. Do you know what codes the CEL are throwing at you?

You can't just replace lines and expect it to be fixed. If you have a leak its most likely cause you don't have a vac line hooked up to a port where it's supposed to. You have to find where its leaking from in order to plug it and fix it. A DIY way is to carb cleaner and spray it on a cold start all over the engine.. If you get a noticeable idle change in a particular area after spraying the cleaner, you have a vac leak in that area.

Vacuum gauge? Well my boost gauge reads like -25 inHg boost when idling.

If you have a vac leak it would be much lower (by lower I mean numerically, closer to zero). Sounds like your vac is fine and its time to look elsewhere. EGR is a great place to start, they are known to go bad.

Thanks a lot for the advice brolos, I will look into getting a new EGR valve or clean my existing one. I'll let you guys know what's up.
