ported manifold help!

I just installed a ported manifold on my mazdaspeed protege and now when i crank up my car it revs to 3k and dies immediatly, also it makes a terrible whining noise. Iv searched everywhere but cant seem to find a solution to my problem. I desperately need some info on what i shoud do

Sounds like its leaking from being installed incorrectly or a massive vaccume leak

Is there a certain way to put it on? Like tips on what I should do? I'm gonna pull the damn thing off today and reinstall it, just seeing if there was any advice out there for installing

Did you use a new gasket? Look i know there's a special way you're supposed to tighten the bolts but I can't remember how or the tourque specs

Yeah i got a new intake and throttle gasket, and a new egr pipe with my manifold

Can you rev it to keep it running?

Just redid everything last night and buttoned everything down to spec. The car starts and runs, but I still have a bad vacuum leak. It is making a very high pitch sound coming from the throttle area

Iv read up and similar problems are from IAC. I sprayed carb cleaner around throttle and the rpms changed so I'm guessing the leak has to be from there
