Points #3 - Registration Open

I think you just need to link BDR since we have to log in to register, i have to decide if I really want to drop $90 for that weekend, already dropped the $50 for the school.

Meh. What's the point of the school if you're not going to go <del>racing</del> competing in precision driving competitions to apply it?

Registered. Oh, and the Konis should be here Wednesday. Picking up some R-compounds tomorrow, but they're not going on for a while.

because there are more events to <del>race</del> participate in later this season, 90$ is a bit much for a budget racer to drop in one weekend for roughly 10 minutes of racing, trust me I want to be out there, but I also want to keep my house, car, wife, food and the school is more benificial than one event since i am not even in any class as of yet, so it is not like i am losing my spot at that trophy. Plus i have things I need the money to go to otehr than events, like performance parts and a RX7 project. Damn money bags over there, trust me I am prioritizing.

Well, if you want to get technical, it's $90 for 20 runs or so on Saturday, and then 10 minutes of precision driving on Sunday.

Has there been any progress on this RX-7 project you speak of? It would be sweet if that beast was ready in time for the novice school.

Well, the offer's still on the table if my unskilled labor can be of assistance.

Time only 2. Just to see what she runs before I go in. Next time I'll run BS.

(teeheehee BS)

The turbo 7 is a BS car. I checked beforehand.

why not run novice and do the novice meeting / course walk for the 2 events you're allowed to?

Novice class on Saturday is full (50 drivers have entered). So I'm just going to run for time on Sunday.

Saturday is the school, it really is more than just a novice thing, in reality it would be nice to have folks going to the school that have alreay ran a couple events so they are going to pick up on whats happening a little easier. You shouldn't have any problem getting Novice on Sunday, they don't really close it out I don't think, but I highly recommend you do that for your first two events, the hardest part is going to be seeing the course on the fly, with the novice meeting and the indepth walk through you'll be much much better off. On the registration you want to register for N1 if you want to run in the AM or N2 if you want to run in the PM. Like a couple people have already said, we def. recommend it and all of us did it our first times out, it really is the order of it.

As somebody who's recently gone through it, I can tell you that it's a big help going through the novice meetings your first couple of times out. They will help explain what's going on and how work assignments work, and just general safety stuff that's obviously very important in this type of activity.
