Some of you may have seen my post whenI mentioned local shop had to drop PG for reliability reasons. I was able to verify this today and was talking to that shops owner.
Apparently they got 2 dozen amps and almost half of them had issues. One of the 4 channel amps was indeed in the owners car and only running a 4 ohm load when it litteraly started melting itself. He said half the board basicly liquified from catching fire. The wrost part, the amp never entered a protection mode nor pop a fuse.
He told me that PG has sent all poteduction of amplifiers over sees this year aswell as repair. The minimum repair time is 8-12 weeks.
