DeanSweet, what brand and colour of paint is that? Thats the kind of red I want on my laser blue P5.

G2. He said so in his post ;) Same thing I used. Came out great.

Aha, G2 is a brand. A little slow on the uptake I am...

That's expensive stuff, but it looks like a good kit. Is there anything cheaper that will perform well enough, how much is that Duplicolour stuff. Anyone know of Canadian vendors of this stuff.

The dupont metal cast anodized paint that I used was $4.99 US per can. 1 can of silver base coat and one can of blue anodized.

$10.00 to do all 4 calipers and my overflow tank bracket along with my radiator cap. I got a second can of blue to do my lug nuts and air intake brackets.

i just painted mine with VHT metallic silver brake/caliper paint. i don't have any pics yet, but i love the way it looks.

i can't really see it happening any time soon...i'm going to be heading down to indiana in a couple months. glad to hear you got yourself another p5! you'll just have to do a bunch of sh*t to it, so it'll be pimp by the time i make it back there.

I think I saw some Duplicolor paint at Canadian Tire.

i got the VHT caliper/brake paint at Canadian Tire. it's a bit more expensive than the duplicolor stuff, but it looks pretty damn good!

My vote is for red...my P5 is also Black Mica...does anyone have the paint code for the G2 color that matches the strut bar?

G2 paint has no codes? The colors I believe the offer are black, red, white, blue, green, yellow, silver and gold but I would guess you could call them and ask them if they will colormatch to whatever color of your choice? You never know?
Paint lays on well but go out and buy a few semi-quality 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 in paint brushes at Michaels or local are shop. Don't spend too much b/c you'll end up tossing them. I think I spent apporx. $5 on the 3 brushes. Take your time get all 4 wheels off the car and on stands and clean up the calipers 1st too. I used a dremel and wire wheel to get all the garbage off them. The G2 paint starts to harden in 2 hours so you be better be ready to paint a few coats on in rather quick order. Do the edges first and light coats on the main parts of the brakes, then work on the next, by the time you are done with the 1st coat you 'll be onto the 1st one again. I did 3 coats hopeing it would fill in the rough surface of the caliper from the factory which it kind of did. Car is only 8 months old but calipers needed some serious tlc before paint application and a warning about the cleaner/degreaser supplied in the G2 Box. Don't get it on painted garage floor or your blacktop driveway. It melts it. Approx 2 months later and they still shine just like the day after I did them. Approx 15 car washes later.

Just squint with one eye, jam your finger in the other and look at the pic in my sig. The red you see will be on my calipers some time in the near future.

id recomend the upgrade for the front-any color u want-then painting the rears to match.

but of course- thats 1500-2000$ u might not have or use for such items.

the blue on black looks nice.
