Paint chip repair

When I was washing my car yesterday I came across a nasty chip on top of the bonnet - about 6 or 7mm long - and it's gone right down to the metal. I wondered if anyone had tried fixing such chips with this type of DIY repair.

There appears to be little or no feedback about this product on Amazon.

I've used paint pens from expresspaint.com on several cars and am very happy with the results...
