So my girlfriend and I are on I-75, north of ATL, heading home. I'm just cruising in the 2nd left lane doin' about 80 mph. Coming up from my right blind spot, a dark grey 2003 Viper passes me. I was like "oooooo."
Earlier that day I saw a Skyline GT-R at Permiter Mall that made me go "oooooo" too.
Anyways...back to the Viper. So it passes me. I start to speed up because I just want to tell the guy that I think he has a nice car. He then steps on the gas and my testicles kick in. I gotta follow it. I know I have no chance with my 2.0 vs. the 8.3 of the Viper, but what the hay. So I signal and move behind him and start following. Instantly you hear the growl of the V-10 as he hits the gas and moves ahead. He starts weaving through traffic...without signalling.:mad: That's one of my pet peeves. I'm able to keep up because of the traffic. He changes lanes, I change and keep pace. Then all of a sudden a Caddy STS (I think) come flyin' up wanting a piece of the action.
I'd get behind the Viper. He'd pull ahead and shift right around a car. Then I'd move ahead,shift left, and catch up. I wasn't really paying attention to my speed. All I knew was that I'm chasing a Viper up 75. After about 3 miles of this, the Viper slows down to 75 mph and after I pass him, he turns his lights off then on. I guess he was signalling he had fun. I waved.
My girlfriend was kinda scared because she said I was hitting 100 mph. When I got off the highway, my hands were sweaty. What a rush! I wish I had my g/f's camera to take some pictures.
I know some people don't condone street racing like that. Yes, it was stupid to be doing 100 mph in medium traffic. But how many of you would have done the same?
