ok so i got the carbon fiber guage overlays.. same ones i believe that equinox has (what can i say i wanna be just like him. LoL) anyways. i got the tach one on fine.. the speedo one on fine.. then i got to the last one.. broke the damn temp needle. -=( s***.. mazda said 380 to 400 for a whole new cluster. but i remember on my accord u could replace just the pod that you broke the needle on. does anyone know if this is possible or if they know the price on this?
i already know.. stay away from the guages and blah blah blah. so i dont need to hear that. i just want to know about the pod.

an ps.. i put one of them on crooked too.. so im looking at this as a learning experience. -=( its just sad every time i look at my temp guage thinkin.. well maybe the super"ghetto hold" glue that i used will make it work.

well there is a 2001 protege es sedan in the junkyard right next to my place ... ill swing in see if they stillhave the cluster and if so ..ill get you the needle off of it and send it to ya .. the car is near mint aside from the telephone pole that ran in to it at what looks like about 80 MPH lol

how do you replace just the section you need. I have an extra set that needs temp and fuel needles and I could sell it.

thanks guys.. i just snapped the temp needle. -=( but i snapped it on the metal that actually goes into the guage.. so i think i need to get the whole pod correct? let me know what you think.. thanks for you help.

and to freekwonder... each section has a has a plug in the back of it that u could take off... so all u need to do is switch um... im assured this works from my buddies at Marlin Mazda of Miami...

update.. i called my local mazda dealer.. and they basically said.. sorry.. cant help u.. u need to buy the whole guage cluster.. $344.85 prepaid because it is special order. anyone have any other ideas? or does anyone know the part number of just the fuel and temp guage?

one more thing. i just called the mazda recycler out here and they have a 02 ex guage cluster for $150 bux. does anyone know if that will just plug in and work? i dont really care about the white guages because im putting overlays on it anyways..

plug in the back of what. I've taken the actual plastic face of and there are the two motors that run the needls. How do you take off the needles and replace them. the temp and fuel just break. can you please be a little more detailed.

fizzle, when you do the overlays...PLEASE cut a slit to slide it over the small needles, other than the junkyard, the dealer will **** you, but it's "the only way"lol, good luck!

i cut a slit to slide it over the big needles. -=( i figured i could work it around the small ones.. i guess i wasnt workin it as well as i should have. heh
