i held the gasket in place while a fridne screwed the first bolt in then it was a matter of finishing up. easy as pie.
and i think the filtering of oil between the two (spin on, cartridge) is so insufficient if you purchase a good spin on (ie decent grade fram or better sport brand) argueing a point is usless. change your oil every 5k with sytec your filter will puill out enough contaminents and still be fine by the time you pull it and replace it anyway. either one will work fine...just a matter of me liking the spin on better. literally, spin off, spin on....thanks mr miagee. the cartridge filter is a hastle and the difficutly of reaching this filter is none. its in such an easy spot that the location also doesnt matter
... IT IS A KNOWN FACT THAT THE PIECE OF s*** PAPER FILTER IS EXTREMELY INEFFICIENT AT FILTERING OIL! A spin on filter is made up of much better material and last much longer...
