Im curious which would be the best for power, the obx which claims 7-10 whp, or the wagner which claims 7whp. But as you know if i get the obx i would get a high flow cat too which would possibly make me loose some of the hp i would gain anyway, opinions anyone?

So, you would replace the precat if you got the OBX? The OBX will give you more, and get rid of the precat. A highflow cat really won't cost you any HP though. I know the OBX is an easier install, because everyone that I know breaks the studs on the precat when they do the Wagner....

the 7 whp claim for the wager was comparing 2 different cars (be them basically identical besides the header) but none the less i have not seen any independantly verifiable dynos of the shorty.

i would get the OBX, i believe their HP claims.

OBX, I had the shorty and did not notice much gain without having the downpipe and highflow cat......-R

Well i would need a highflow cat for 3 reasons, I already only have that precat as it is, and i live in nj which has emmissions, and i dont wanna be super loud n raspy.

Yeah, My car and MP5Smuggler's, the knocking mine had might have cost a me few HP. Dunno. I like my OBX, which I got way after that dyno against smuggler.

Get the OBX and do the easy 3 dollar spark plug non-fouler tricker. All you need is 2 non foulers from any auto supply store (and preferably some anti-seize).

MIL eliminator didn't work for me-- non-fouler works so far. Knock on wood.

Who needs a pre-cat? That focker is heavy too.

well i need at least 1 cat cuz emissoions and I dont want my exhaust to be a lot louder than what is is now.

Well, the OBX keeps one cat...It's not that loud either. I'm running the OBX and a HKS Hiper Axleback (with the silencer in) and it's really nice.

you can get the wagner as well as the dp with hi flow cat. should keep you legal-er.

That's what I want to do. Also, had 0 issues installing the shorty onto stock pre-cat.

wagner-shorty........

Get the OBX and put a high flow cat in the CS exhaust. The precat is the most restrictive part of the exhaust.

Zackly, the option I stated would also dump the pre-cat.

ryan, pretty much the same but cai, instead of sri.

I like that, but it would cost me over 500 buxx, lol

is a high flow cat far less restricting than the stock precat?

Yes. Very much less restrictive. Get the OBX and a high flow cat, get the car welded into the CS exhaust. Total would be less than 400 bucks.
