Hey ms6 guys! im in need of some serious help. heres the story, my ms6 has roughly50~k miles and the breaks started squeaking no biggie just figured it needs pads, well i go to replace the front pads with hawk HPS plus(heard alot of good about hawkpads) and after putting on the new front pads i bedded them in and they start squealing like a pig!, rotors were shot(couldnt be resurfaced either) ive never had that problem with past vehichles.... anyways so she sat waiting for new rotors, stoptech slotted rotors, and i go through the whole process again, only to still have the same noise.... called hawk and they said sugest resurfacing the pads, maybe some glazing, did that... problem continued.... and i made sure there was no debris on the front of the rotors, well now with one last effort im gonna try cleaning the back of the rotors and resurfacing them one last time!(the pads, just to double double check).... if this doesnt fix it im just gonna order another set of pads..... anyways, i was wondering if you guys had any other suggestions? other than noting that i overlooked the rotors the first time... thanks guys

cliff notes for those who dont like to read
1 new pads old rotors, squealing... bad rotors
2 same pads, new rotors, still squeaking
3 same pads resurfaced, new rotors, still squeaking...

oh one more thing, it only makes this horrendous sound with medium application of the brakes, or lower speeds(stopping at a light in traffic) does fine slowing down from highway speeds....

Put some of this stuff between the shims on the back of the pads and the pads. The "squeling" you hear is the shim behind the pads vibrating. Yes I know they make the same noice.

you can try what MR_X said, but its not always the case being the shims.
if you didnt install the pads yourself, most all installers will have used anti-squeal grease.
so if the sound persists its the brake pad type itself that is noisy.

performance pads squeal naturally due to their materials composition.
the hawk HPS are considered performance... i use em for track & daily driving also.
Buying performance pads that is the sacrifice you need to be prepared to take, squeak under light usage.
but great performance all around especially under heavy usage like @ the track.

i luv em! if you dont track or need high performance, get a set of quiet pads.
any centric, hawk or wtver brand that specifically say "quiet" like centric POSI Quiets, sounds like what you should go for...
ceramics in general, are quieter than metallic compound ones too.

well i got one side to stop squeaking so i may have figured it out, ill admit i did not do the most thorough job on this one, the old rotors had some nasty grooves that left some ridges one the new pads, after sanding it down some the drivers side has stopped but the passenger side still does it.
I understand these are track pads but i dont think they should be squeaking like this.

squeaking at low speeds, is normal man.

but if you see grooving in the pads it means your rotors are carving the pads up.
sanding the pads dowl (VERY SLIGHTLY) will only help temporarily, until the rotors groove them up again.
needs resurfacing... by a reputable shop. my last set of rotors were on their last leg, got some random shop to resurface them... they did a HORRIBLE job.

i got what is called "machine chatter" when they are machining them, causing very small barely noticeable texture on the rotors.
something hardly even noticeable made my brake pads click LOUD, and carved em up. do it right the first time, or long term problems will get you.
