I sold my MSP off long ago and moved into the domestics for awhile with an 02 SS Camaro. It didnt really "do it" for me so I sold it off last year and bought a 06 Lancer Evolution SE with a pretty decent list of mods that is slowly getting longer. After putting an unsprung twin disc clutch in the Evo, I decided a daily driver was in order. Not wanting to detract from my Evo modding funds, I waited until the right deal came along. I went and bought a 93 Protege LX auto for $550 from a local guy yesterday. 139k miles, and for a 20 year old car, its in decent shape. Im getting back on here because im going to restore the thing a bit and make it a nice drivers car and im going to be looking for info and parts throughout that process. Heres the only pic I have of the little pile for right now.....

Good deal!

From what I read the 1st gen protege can be quite the contender in autocross if modded right and in the right class. Engine swaps are easy and suspension mods are cheap - what else does an enthusiast need?(cool)
 
Well this is a fairly worn out auto car. So I doubt it'll ever see any kind of track time. Im actually hoping to pick up another evo in the next few months as a dedicated track car.
