New Shift Boot

I've seen quite a few posts with Crown Royal bags as shift boots...so I decided to take my own shot at it, but with some leather!!

This is the old shift boot (and very worn stock shifter)

And the finished product:

Very difficult to stretch that leather bag over the plastic holder, lots of cutting and pulling and re adjusting, took about an hour and a half just to finish this thing. Hopefully it holds up, but the seams are pulled pretty tight, it might only last a little while.

very nice. looks like a corporate sponsor...or a case for AA. if you saved the plastic disc that sat between the knob and boot, you can use fabric glue to adhere the "boot" to the plastic disc. that will create a more permanent solution. then tie off the strings into a snug knot and snip
