Don't hate me ,but I don't like it! Just my .02 cents worth. If you like it ,thats all that matters ,everyone has their own taste!

let me get this straight - you have a second tachometer? just so you can have a shift light? why not just rig up a shift light? sounds like it looks, i dunno, redundant / gaudy perhaps? to each thier own, though.

it is mounted on the center of my steering wheel hub, i guess in the day it might look redundant, but at night i like it a lot.
just big blue in front of me... all my other gauges are blacked out. i really wanted a center mounted tach, who cares if the speedo is blocked. like i said, can tell by gear and rpm speed anyways..if not..blitz id is there.

I don't know about you but I find the stock tachometer obstructed by the steering wheel and my hand on the wheel. Why couldn't have it been on the left side instead of the right? Majority of the cars have them on the left but why did Mazda choose the right for the protege? I know the Mazda6's tach is on the left, the miata is on the left, the tribute is on the left, and the RX-8 is in the center.
