I'm glad I found this forum! Just bought a new 2003 silver Protege 5 for my wife, it is auto with the sport shift, has the abs and side airbags, trunk subwoofer, moon roof, but no luggage rack, I need to find where to purchase the Thule one like in Canada I guess. I like the car and will probably get an AEM short ram intack and the mazdaspeed exhuast to make it sound a little better. Got a great deal because of the recent hail storm here in Dallas. Paid 12995 and they are fixing the hail damage! I think the only things it doesn't have is leather and polished wheels, which I didn't like anyway. Well, I am looking forward to joining the rest of you posting away!

Hi Oumax and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. (stash)

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!! (stash)

Just bought a silver, 5-speed P5 myself and I look forward to making a few modifications to the car of my own. The car really needs a turbo.:) I knew the P5 wasn't a horsepower king going in, but that is really about all I can tell the car lacks.

I am very familiar with the Protege because of the World Challenge Touring Car teams I am involved with, but a lot of what I learned about the car and what helped me make my decision on buying the P5 was my frequent visits to this forum and reading all of the info everyone shares. I am sure I'll be back for more with some questions.

It's time for some happy motoring and a few road trips. Couldn't trust my Alfa Romeo 164 for these any longer.
