Hi,
I've been trolling this forum since my wife and I got our 2006 6s (Sport?) Wagon last May. So I created an account today. Hello to everyone.
Now for the question. A few weeks ago we had that nasty snowstorm in the northeast. I had the benefit of driving through it in the Cleveland area. Lots of snow and ice packed into all the wheel wells and under the car. Ever since then there has been a noise at speed, especially on the highway, but you can also hear it when the wind blows across the car at lower speeds. I can't really describe the sound, it's a wind noise, wasn't there before. Like something has changed with the aerodynamics, or something is peeling up. The car was at the dealer yesterday for it's 30K, and they reattached some of the under-shielding, which is what I thought it was, but the noise still persists. From the driver's seat it sounds like it's on the passenger side under the car. From the passenger's seat you can't tell where it's coming from.
I've searched the forums, and Google, but can't find anything similar. Has anyone else with a 6 heard anything like this? Any areas you think I should look at first. I've checked the spoiler and the body kit, and don't see any missing hold-downs or bolts inside the wheel well. The car is full stock, except for the snow tires.
