New 5 owner

Afternoon all,

I have posted in the europe section, but thought I would say high in here also.

The misses has had her Mazda 5 Sport for a few months. Having asked a few questions on another mazdaforum and got nothing in response I though I would sign up here and see how things went.

After a quick read of a few topics you all seem very helpful

Hopefully in time i'll me able to answer as well as ask the questions .

Personally i've just sold my 300bhp Vectra estate to buy the misses the 5. Im in the process of selling my ka that I was using as a run about and will be using my Lada Niva as my daily for a few months untill I decide what I want next.

Anyway enough of boring you all

Well, we have the bigger petrol engine (since Americans won't put up with sluggish acceleration) but you have a real 7-seater and some among us want the roof rails. You also have cool dealer options like chrome mirror caps.

Not to mention the fact that you may see a diesel 5 sometime this century, where, we here in America will get a diesel 6 instead. I'm going to test drive a diesel 6 but I will whine about the lack of the compression ignition option for the 5 until I die of old age LOL

Even in Europe the middle seat on the second row is very small. Its more of a 6.5 seater. If someone wants me to get a price for roof rails and shipping costs im more than happy to. Im sure it cant be that had to fit them. ill take a look at mine when I get a minute, unless anyone has dropped their headlining and knows if the holes are pre drilled on the US cars?
