Son-of-a-b****. The washer fix did not fix my rattle/sqeak. Looks like I'll be pulling everything apart.

Did you guys need the spring compressors for the rears?

no we didnt use compressors on the rears...but you won't be able to get it back in by yourself without one

if you cant get the endlinks off then yeah, we were taking the sway bars off so we could move the shock around better...you could probably try doing it without removing the sway bar and see if you can get it out, but i doubt it

Hey Chris, Ill take those shifter bushings off of you tomorrow if you want....

first things first look up in there with flashlight, or feel up in there with your hand to see if the spring is on the perch properly. That would be the first thing to check. You should be able to tug on the spring enough to get it to sit in the perch.

Make sure the endlinks are tight, Make sure the sway bar is tight too.

Chris (neversober) did you take a look at those wheel spacers? Make sure they are tight still.

Once I get it up and have the wheel off I'll try to tighten everything down and I'll double check the top section. One person on another thread said his noise was coming from the rubber piece not being seated properly. That could be my problem but I can't get a clear view w/o jacking the car up. Now that all the paneling is off I can hear the sound clearly. It sqeeks all the time and it clunks up and down on bigger bumps.

My car squeaks like a mofo all the time. I bet the top of the spring is not seated. I think you will be able to seat it without even loosening any bolts. Just grab the spring and tug on it to get it to seat itself. They tend to slip right into place. Maybe some silicone spray for the squeaking?

i am used to the squeaks I think. They tend to come and go.

We'll see. I'll try the tug method and if I hear a pop I'll take it for a spin before pulling anything apart.

Youll still have to take off the wheel and look. You should be able to feel up there with your hand too. There is a pretty good lip on the top spring perch. More of one than the bottom.

Yep, same here.

Um...I got mine yesterday. I kept checking the UPS site and they arrived in Chelmsford Sunday afternoon/evening and went out for delivery yesterday. I caught the UPS truck right when I got home, so thankfully I didn't have to go to the holding station to pick them up. Be ready, the box is 55lbs...gets heavy after carrying it for a minute.
