NEPOC meet: Baby Chris's Install/BBQ day- 4/24/05

Mine should be in today...I hope the UPS lady leaves them. She has a habit of insisting someone be there at 4:30 in the afternoon to sign for the package. Anyone else have that problem?

They leave a note and say they'll be back the same time the next day. WTF good does that do? If I'm not home at 4:30 on Wednesday, chances are I won't be there at 4:30 on Thursday either!

maybe a neighbor can sign for it?

in my experience, they leave a ups thing that says they were there and there's a box you can check for them to just leave it when they come back the next day...but if you dont have that maybe try and leave a note telling that **** you're at work and to just leave the damn package

Yeah, I get the slip...and she always states that I need to be there to sign it. I usually sign it and leave a note telling her I will be home at 5:30. Sometimes she leaves it, other times I have to wait until Saturday.

The FedEx guy will leave it with my neighbor or at the door if someone comes by to let him in.

If its something big I usually ship it to my parent's house because then it can be left on the breezeway.

Comin from the west theres basically 2 ways people are goin...either east on 90, which i think is pretzel, dont know who else...then most of the people from western CT are goin 84 east to 91 north...i dont have my car at school right now, i think my mom is coming up on saturday but im not sure if her and my sister are driving 2 cars up and leaving mine here, or if she's picking me up and im going home.. the way it looks ill be going home, so i'll be on 84 east getting on at exit 8

well im all the ways down by the merrit exit 31 haha. i can take ct-15 to route 8 then to 84 but that drops me off around hartford area on 84...whatca think?

depending on how early you are all going up we might be able to meet at my place, ppl coming from danbury area can take 84 to 691, ppl from southern CT can come up 91, or 15 and I live in meriden right at the intersection of all 3

like i said though, depends on how early you are all planning on going cuz i dont know how early I will be getting up

do you live off one of the ct-15 exits? i know i should know this but i dont off the top of my mind and that sounds good to me. i was thinking i guess or being there for 12-1 ish because i dont want to head home too late and it is a drive up there and back...i was thinking of leavin 5-6ish from chris's but we shall see...any ideas big chris?

Yeah, yeah, I know. Well, there is an added financial bonus to this meet (instead of a deficit). I've never installed springs before and if it wasn't for the supportive NEPOC, I would probably end up taking my car to a shop and forking out the dough for them to do it. Besides, I really do want to go to F1-Boston...you guys just keep picking dates that I am busy!

I was hoping to have new wheels to put on also but I can't get enough people to sign onto the group-buy.
