Need help with MSP alarm

I've had my MSP for a couple of weeks and the alarm is no longer arming, the led light will light up red in pre-arm mode and lock the doors but no alarm, it is just keyless entry. What can I do to fix it. I have disconnected the battery and the alarm brain and same thing. Will the valet switch reset it, I can find the f*@#ing valet switch anywhere. I am trying to avoid going to the dealer since the aren't aware the thing even comes with an alarm, they say all it comes with is keyless entry, idiots. Any ideas? I am looking at getting an aftermarket alarm but dont have the money for a two way system, what are some good brands, options and features?

hey, i really do not have the answer for you as far as what to do about the alarm. i have a question for you and anyone else. how do you adjust the sensitivity of the alarm? anytime a loud truck or somethink like this goes by, the freaking alarm goes off. i read the manual and they say there is the valet switch up under the dash, but I cannot find it. any ideas????

sounds like it in valet mode.the alarm is made by code alarm try calling them for some help..

if you look under dash there is a little black box that has a white knob that should lower the sensetivity...atleast thats how its on the mp3....let me see if i can get a pic....

theyre right.. the alarm sensitivity knob is under the dash...... but if the alarm isnt working.. you got me.
