need help electrical problem

So recently a wire in my main wire harness got burnt and no fuel is being delivered I believe to the engine it cranks but won't start and I can't hear the fuel pump I found, he wire that was burnt it goes from the little bracket on the engine block to a little connector with about five wires on the strut tower where the grounding cable for the battery goes my problem is I don't know what the wire is and if I can just cut that connector off and just ground them straight to the body ? Any opinions help thx
