Navi for Mz5..

As you guys know, the dealer is charging an arm and a leg for the navi system option...

Would any of you consider an aftermarket unit?

Not sure what audio system your 5 came with from the factory, but I would buy a portable GPS from Canadian Tire or Future Shop for 100-200 bucks.

Lots of models/features to choose from, use it in any vehicle, and keep it when it's time to trade the 5.

Plus there is no need to pull apart the dash to install

Meeehhh still expensive IF all you'r looking for is navi, target, radio shack, etc sell a navi for $50.00 now? $100.00 most I'd pay they all do well IMO.

The 'physically static' built-in OEM looking navi does look 'nice'. No wire clutters,
and expected to integrate well with the sound system. I.E. navi or phone calls
mutes the music or radio. And if it has a wifi connectivity, then map updates
should not be a problem via the internet when parked at home.

But in long trips, One will wish he could take it with him inside the restaurants
during those stop overs. To plan for alternate route, scan for EOIs.
