i just got my new 5 2010
silver, automatic transmission, a/c....
it's just real fun, it's my first new car ever and i love it.
i have few question
in the glove box ,there was 4 plastic plug in a bag with a drawing of where to put it under the car, do i have to install them? and what are they for?
also, what kind of grease could i use to put on doors hinges?

those plastic plugs may be for various openings (drain holes) but I'm not sure. Since its new, a trip to the dealer. as far as what type of grease to use on the door hinges, suggest some white lithium grease. Nice 5 btw. You shouldn't need to grease the hinges yet, if a door is difficult to open/close, have the dealer adjust it.
 
I've been told that the plugs are for covering up holes on the undercarriage that were anchor points used for transporting the car to the dealers. Dealer should definitely be able to install if you can't find where they go.
 
Nice GS, XAVW. Welcome to the 5 family. IMO, the dealer missed those plugs during pre-delivery inspection. Never heard anyone else on this forum mention them.
 
^^^ I agree - the only thing in my glove box at delivery was the 4 regular wheel nuts & tool for the locking set. Nice thing about this forum is the good mix of members from the US, Canada, and all over.
