my msp goes squeak squeak??

my dashboard is squeaking when i drive over rough roads. it sounds like a metal piece is rubbing or something. it's getting on my nerves!!! i took it to the dealership today...the guy took the whole dash off and couldn't find anything wrong. lojack has visited twice and couldn't solve the problem so i thought i'd let the dealership have a shot at it. no improvement. anybody else have this problem? or any idea what it could be?

btw, shawn was kind enough to give me a ride in the mazdaformance "mp3-t". one word...DAMN!!! despite the generic muffler, it sounds nice. the sound of the turbo is tremendous! i want! but 60k??? i'll build my own

Hey dude ,I think I know the "SQUEAK" you are referring to !IT is probably the radio cage because mine had it to!You have to pull the radio out and tighten the cage it mounts in.If you want to check and see if this is it ,try to move the radio up and down and back and forth and see if it squeaks!If that doesn't work,then try to hold the radio solidly while you are driving with one hand (or have a friend do it)and see if the squeak goes away.If it does then there is your squeak!

awesome, thanks for the advice car goes back to the dealership on friday to see if they can fix the squeak. i'll make sure they look at the radio cage. thanks a bunch!

Make sure they take the radio out of the cage and tighten the cage itself as that is where the squeaking is coming from!I had mine to the dealer for the same thing cuz i was being lazy and they said the fixed it but didnt!they tried to put grease on it to make it go away!:wtf: So i ended up pulling it myself and tightening all the mounting tabs!They only do a few from when they installed it but when i did it ,I did quite a few more,and guess what no more squeak!
Just remember (sometimes)If you want something done right ,DO IT YOURSELF!

yeah that god damn squeak everyone who rides with me says it comes from the trunk.... but i can friggin hear it in the dash... my cure is the 15 in the trunk :-D
