My MAZDASPEED is going AutoXing next month...

I was out yesterday morning, and went by a soccer complex that was holding an SCCA sanctioned Autocross event. I stopped by and began talking with a guy that runs a Miata. The next event is the 3rd weekend in August at Memphis Motorsport Park. I am going to attend and give it a try. That's what I'm talkin' about!

The cars that were there, were as follows.

(2) Z06 Vettes
Porsche 911
(2) Miatas
Brand new (still had the drive-out tag on) WRX STi
BMW M5 (older one)
Focus ZX3 Sedan
Porsche 914
350Z

...and a few others.

I doubt I will get too hardcore with it, but who knows? So; I'm not going to rush out and get another set of tires and wheels for it.

AutoX is a great way to learn the limits of yourself, and your car as a driver!
i wish insurance companies would give an SCCA autocross discount to those who participate in learning how to safely drive their cars! Instead, ive heard some insurance companies have dropped SCCA participants from their insurance..

Anyways, that was a little off topic rant, but i hope you have a great time, and i hope to be AutoCrossing here soon as well!
