Hey guys

could you tell me if a 2.5 inlet muffler would work with a 3" piping?Or would I have to get a 3" inlet muffler?

obviously he does, or he wouldnt have posted it. Why do people have to rat on other opinions all the freakin time?!

Good Lord!!!!!!

It's the weekend,, have a beer,,,,,PDL (you go sking),,,,,,,,but,,,,,RELAX~!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with phaudio. If you have nothing to say regarding the topic, go find some other thread to post in.

And by the way, AGR, I had a thread started titled "AGR#7 is the man", but Dex threatened to lock it, so I deleted it. :(

It will work, but your gonna have to have some sort of adapter welded on. i would suggest getting a 3in inlet muffler, and sell the one youve got..

Oh, I haven't bought a muffler yet, but I'm looking for a carbon fibre muffler other than HKS because I'm not too fond of them, so is there any others?

Well unless you plan on spending 800+ on the MUFFLER alone, you won't need the HKS Carbon Ti. Just go with anything really, muffler is almost purely cosmetic anyway.

muffler is cosmetic, and the sound.
Bigger inlet piping and bigger muffler is generally louder...
My friend just installed a magnaflow canister muffler, 2.25 in and out, and it sounds really good, nice and low on his 91 rx7 n/a.

Why add a restriction (of 2.5") if you have 3" everywhere else. Get a 3" inlet.

Maybe I'm missing something. But if you went 3" to eliminate restriction, why would you add a 2.5" muffler.

Well, if all he has is the option for a 2.5 that he likes, its really not going to do anything to mess with pressure that far back anyway.

if you plan to go 3" piping to a 2.5" inlet on the muffler.....don't. think about it, it ruins the idea of getting 3" piping. you'll have a bottle neck at the inlet to the muffler. and if you really want a cf muffler...ac revolution makes some. my friend has one on his 200 sx ser and it sounds surprisingly good. but come on, hks has that flame tip....mmmmm :D

for our car, they're supposed to sound pretty good. kinda loud from what i understand. i'm a little skittish to get one cause they sound like s*** on other cars.....but then again that's hondas with pos mods. turbo cars rarely sound buzzy. i'm just not fond of the loudness factor. i'd rather have something a little quieter. check out carreview.com. people post their own reviews of all sorts of parts. it'll give you a rough idea of what to expect.
