MSP Hard piping

K thanx Force. Sorry I didn't see the price on the other post. Sounds good though. let us know what the final price is. Iam down for one.

i'm down for one as well,
about how long till the project is done?

Force, just messin with ya man. I know you didn't mean it how it came out! Anyways, shoot me some pics of these mandrel bends. Might send you my set-up as a proto-type for FMIC kit as well...Later,

So, will this use the stock intercooler in the stock location, or will it at least give it a front-mount position?? If it would relocate it to a front-mount, I might consider it, but not if it retains the stock position. My piping choice would also be the silver pipe with black hose.

Hey guys sorry for asking this but I am a newb trying to learn as much about cars as I can. What is the advantages of replacing the piping? And performance gains? or is this just to replace some weaker piping? Thanks

1) fewer heat losses in piping = more hp (not a lot)
2) stronger piping
3) ability to mount different BOV
think that about covers it.

EDIT: Matt...can't afford it right now, but it'd be nice to see how the black chrome w/ black couplings looks. I'd also suggest R&d for a slight relocation after the first run. I'm not talking, total front mount, but maybe even a side mount if you can keep bends and pipe length to a minimum and continue to provide a more efficient system. Suggested this to Terry, too...haven't heard back from him though.

Also...03's hard pipe setup is f'n k-rad! That little purple type-s doesn't looks right, tho! Nice to see that it's atmo, though!

hey force, i am down for one too with the silver piper and black conncetors. But i won't have the money for 3-4 weeks cause i have bills to pay this paycheck. Let me know if this is cool.

I'll take a set, the money is awaiting pictures of the prototypes...

I'd like matte silver finish, or a matte black finish to maintain a stock look. No need for flash, I want clean looks and function.

Well......

It looks like there is a lot of you guy's who would really like to have some of this piping ,soo.....it look's like I will build it!

No one has asked for any special requirement(bov flanges or other)so it looks like we can go ahead with the stock style replacement piping.I hope to have the prototype finished in raw material tomorrow night(hopefully:D )I will tyr to get you guys pics of the piping before it is powdercoated so you guys can see this project as it unfolds. We already have the upper piping done and need to finish up on the lower longer pipe.

It also looks like there is more than 5 of you willing to purchase these?I may go ahead and make 10 initial kits instead. This will take us no longer to produce,so the production time would be the same.

I hope this will not be like the Injen deal where about 40 people sadi they would get one and when it came time to pay, there was only like 20 or so people willing to fork out the cash.I will be building these with money out of "MY POCKET" ,so if you are not serious, then now is the time to let me know!

A few of you asked for some different color combo's ,but it looks like the most popular choice was the silver piping W/ Black silicone adapters. This is what I will be going for for this run.If you ABSOLUTELY must have a different color, then the cost would increase for doing only 1 set in a different color. All of this pricing is based off of doing this in bulk.

If everyone agrees on the silver and black ,then let it be known. If you must have it another way, then i'll check into it as the time comes.
So basically, the piping as it stands now will fit all stock MSP's as well as MSP's with the Injen intake, and will utilize the stock IC with everything being in the stock location(including the connector which is mounted to the upper piping near the throttle body). The piping will be silver W/ the black connectors. It will be a gloss silver to match closely to the stock silver on the strut bar under the hood.
I will not accept any money until I am ready with finished product in hand that is ready to ship.As it stand now,I will do either Paypal,MO,or check(it must clear first).I may have a deal worked out for you guy's to use a credit card also.I'll let you know on this one.I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow if time permits in the evening.

Anything else ,just let me know!
Matt:)

Just for the record...I was offering my humble, and sadly, poor little opinion. Like I said...I can't afford the bling currently. Hope it works out for you, Matt!
