56K BEWARE OF PAGE 9!!! LOTS OF PICS.

Yes, the parts are here!!!! It feels like christmas with all this stuff sitting here.:D

Over the next 2 weeks, my speed will be getting a lot of goodies. MPI tuner and injector setup, dual stage MBC, AEM wideband, Apexi EGT, and AWR mounts. I will be installing everything myself, with help from my friend at the machine shop, my local welder, and another friend who is a wiring/electronics master.:)

I will post pics of our progress. If all goes to plan, we'll get started this coming thursday when my friend at the machine shop gets back from colorado. I can't wait to see what this thing can do when tuned properly. I will be tuning one map for 10psi, and the other for 16psi.

I will be making 2 trips to the dyno, one after the gauges are in without the tuner and injectors to see what I'm putting down with just the bolt-ons... and then again after everything is in for a tuning session.

I most likely will also add an upgraded fuel pump, does anyone have any suggestions besides the walbro? After hearing how easy it is to install, I really want to upgrade.

awesome. its good to see more msp owners going for big numbers. how long do you think the stock block will last at a tuned 16psi?

Hopefully long enough to smoke some EVO's and STI's, lol.

Seriously though, I *think* that the block will be fine. I plan on getting some forged pistons and rods at the end of the summer if they don't give out before then. I am going to put the injectors in the intake piping for now, but eventually I am going to have a fuel rail modded to accomodate them.

the block should be fine seeing as it's iron. i heard somewhere that someone tested the block to 20 psi. as for the fuel pump, walbro is basically the best. might as well stick with them.

Yea, I probably will end up going with the Walbro, but I wondered if anybody knew of some other options. I always thought that you had to drop the tank to replace the pump, but apparently you just remove the backseat and a plate underneath it. The pump is right there.:)

i meant the block staying intact via the crackshafts bending/snapping and proceeding to jump outside at high pressures :) yea, the block will be fine until the internals are toast and do a number on it.

Nice list of stuff.

make sure the Egt is electronic.

I have just about all you mentioned.. except the dual stage mbc, i know mpinick offer some sort of dual stage, i hope that is what you got. If not you will throw your fuel maps off when changing boost. unless you run it really rich daily.

Have fun installing!!

Thanks Paul, I have always really admired your setup. The EGT that I got is the Apexi EL1, and I'm pretty sure that it's electronic (better be for the price:)). I am friends with the owner of BoostSciences, and he makes a really nice line of MBC's. He is going to hook me up with the dual stage since I will be making a Protege install manual for him. What exactly do you mean when you say that the maps will be off when changing boost? I was planning on having one controller set at 10, with map A on the tuner tuned for 10... then I will have the other controller set at 16 with map B on the tuner tuned for 16. I thought that I had it all figured out, but now you got me second guessing myself. (uhm)

if your friend has a machine shop have him machine a spacer for between the throttle body and the mani so theres no drilling into your intake. also your turbos is only effiecent to 15psi no need to realy go past that other wise your blowing nothing but hot area, YAY heat soak.

I thought it was good to 18psi? Oh well, I have a big FMIC with a water sprayer so I'm sure I will be fine at 16. Good idea on the spacer, I'll keep that in mind.:)

Sounds like fun 505, keep us updated. After my exhaust upgrade I want to get the MPI or something similar also.

I think that the turbo is good to 18psi also, I am pretty sure that is what Joe P said earlier, not that I would ever want to run it at that ;)

I will definitely keep you guys updated. I want to prove to everyone that the mpi WILL work on the speed, and work well. Which exhaust are you going with?

Not sure yet, I really want the ION one but damn that is expensive. I am waiting to see what the Vibrant one is going to be like, from what the other guys in Toronto is saying it is going to be very sweet and its going to be 900-1000 cdn, and Its a turbo back setup. One of the guys had the prototype and he said it was awesome, so I am waiting for the production and dyno numbers before I decide. For that price you cant go wrong, and Vibrant makes good products.

I dont know when it going to be released though :(

Good stuff man, I hadn't heard about the Vibrant system.
