MSP Exhaust

Hey guys, will I notice any gains from putting a MSP exhuast on a Protege5? I have a chance to pick up a mint condition one used locally. I was looking for a Racing Beat but I herd the MSP one was made by them so just wondering if its worth it. Thanks.

I have a MSP exhaust on my 2001 Protege 2.0. Sounds good, much less backpressure. I need to eliminate the 2nd cat as I expect that will open it up a lot!

You have less back pressure? Thats a bad thing.... You are losing bottom end

You are incorrect sir, reduced back pressure does not hinder low end torque, at all, ever. Back pressure only robs performance, you can hurt low end by going to big on the exhaust diameter but this is do to reduced exhaust velocity cause by rapid cooling of exhaust gasses in the larger diameter pipe. This reduction in velocity from rapid cooling actually increases back pressure in the exhaust causing a reduction in low end power.
