MS6 Replacement Brakes

My MS6 has 27K miles on it and for the last couple days I have noticed that the brakes are beginning to squeak. Usually this is a sign that they need to be replaced. What is the typical mileage when the MS6 brakes need to be replaced (Front and Rear)? Also, as you guys are aware, the OEM brake pads really give off brake dust, especially on the front rims. What would be a good replacement pad that would give off signifantly less brake dust, but not compromise performance? Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm at 44k on stock brakes, and they're still holding up pretty good. If/when I do have to replace the brakes, I'm going with Hawk Ceramic pads all the way around.

Also, my brakes have squeaked at slow stops since the car was new. Not sure if this is the same thing you're experiencing.

Yeah, the squeak I am hearing only occurs at slow stops. It has probably been there for awhile, I am just noticing it now since I have recently been dricing with the windows open.

Ive used Hawk HPS's on several of my cars in the past and am happy with them for street/auto-x driving. Ill probably swap to the HPS's or the ceramics when its time to change the Ms6's brakes. BTW, Im at 45k as well on the stockers.

Check out tirerack.com's selection of brake products for the Ms6, that'll give you a decent idea of whats out there.

i ordered the HAWK HPS pads a while back in preparation for track.
also getting the rotors turned. Happy to hear about sunshineFCs experience with em.
i cant forget to bed them correctly too.

as for stock, they are technically the BEST pads for our cars grip/stoppig power wise.
however, they are known to have slight warping issues depending on the person's driving habits. They also dust like crazy!

my stock pads warped pretty bad after a few canyon runs, enough to have grooved all the rotors pretty heavily. hoping resurfacing will be enough for the new pads.

quick question to ceramic pad owners... i was originally thinking of going ceramics due to the nice perk of MUCH less dust.
However, i am being told that they are less resilient and lasting for tracking or canyon carving?
As in they cant handle as high of heat ranges as semi metallics like HPS pads, and therefore tend to fade quite a bit more...

true?
