MS6 BOV and Flywheel

OK, this is my first post here, and I'm new to tuning/modding cars, so I'm sure there's going to be people flaming me on this post. Here goes...

I've been reading about BOVs (VTA vs recirculate) and am seeing conflicting stories. Is anyone experiencing problems running it VTA? Some have said yes, some no. Which is more efficient, VTA or recirculate? Any power differences, or is VTA just for the sound?

Also, does anyone know if the MS6 flywheel is lightweight, or know where I can find one? I've seen flywheels for the regular 6, would those fit on the MS6?

ms6 has unique flywheel and no one makes one. i really wouldn't ever worry about that until later down the road until you've done everything else to this car.

I was under the impression that the MS6 used the same flywheel and clutch design as the regular 2.3 6. Obviously not the same actual equipment, but I think a performance clutch and flywheel from the 2.3 will work on the MS6. I've been eyeing the Exedy 12lb unit. From what I hear the stock one is 20lbs+.

the 6 is fwd, the ms6 is awd, there has to be beefier clutch/flywheel setup in it and i would think its different, if it isn't and someone knows for absolute sure, correct me. im not positive im just going on what i believe should be. either way i wouldn't bother with tranny work until there's a reason to rip it apart lol

The MS6 does have a stronger clutch but that all relies on the compound and spring pressure used, not necessarily on the design of the flywheel. Most car companies love to tap their parts bins and the MS6 is no different. I'm not the absolute authority but I have heard from several people that a performance clutch and flywheel from the N/A 2.3 will fit the MS6.

I'm wondering if a lighter flywheel would speed up my shifts. I find that I can practically twiddle my thumbs and sing a song before the rpms drop low enough for me to let the clutch out in the next gear (at a rev-matching rpm). No point for a short shifter if I've got to wait that long. I have tried using the clutch to slow the engine down faster but that just makes it buck...prolly because I still have the stock motor mount. Any thoughts?
