I used to have the first Rio, that was crap, and I sold it. I bought the newer ones with 128MB, and it still sucks. I later got a Sony mp3 player as a present, that was beautiful, but I had just bought a MD, and I found the MD better, so I sold the Sony too 
But I'd get the Sony mp3 players if I were you, but then again, I see that Creative came out with a tiny mp3 player that looks a lot like the Sony one I had and its only $199 CDN
