Hello. I am new to the forums. Hope I get some great realistic answers.
I have a 99 Protoge and it is mint condition. Well was. Till The bottom end of the motor decided to leave its cage and try to escape via the oil pan. Not good. So I have been calling around trying to find another motor for it. Kinda tough I must say. It's a 1.6l. So my question is what kind of motor and what other year can I used. No mods, no "Micky mouse" work. Just grab and drop. If I was gonna go with the 1.8l, I'm sure I would have to swap the computer out too right?
So, what kind of motor can I use, what year and what may be some roadblocks?
