Mintblue type 2 rear.

:
10 MS3
I just got back from P.J. Bonefacios body shop, and we found something that was intresting. The type 2 rear actually does fit on a U.S.-spec rear. It's a tight fight, but it fits. He said all it needed was a little modding and that would be it, but nothing major. So I just wanted to share that in case some of you are thinking of getting a j-spec rear. At least for me it'll be much cheaper not get the J-spec rear, i got as hook up :D .

and then how much would the entire kit cost all together? and do they make it for the MSP?

refresh me what the type 2 looks like again, as my mintblue bumper is sitting behind me on the ground, with cob webs on it, I forgot what type it is, lol

type 2 is the one with the defusers its the one on mracer's car, the type 1 is like protege5girlie's rear.

Must be nice --- wonder what is different between the 2 ... or if its just positioned differently (lower) on the bumper. With my Type 1 there was NO way to get it to fit correctly on the US bumper. Our bumpers were about 4-6 inches too "deep" for the kit to fit. I only paid about $135 in total for my JDM rear so I feel it was well worth it to not have to chop up a kit that was soo much $$ ... plus, having the real JDM rear keeps mine unique :)

Well, we couldn't put it on all the way to were it was suppose to go, we were off by 1 inch. So he said he could fix that without a problem, and while we were putting it on the top crack a little because it was such a tight fit. He said not to worry about those little cracks because it was just fiberglass anyway and it could be fixed unlike urethane. I trust this dude, he's done alot of rides for my friends, all show winners and he just did my friends civic. He has immaculate work and he's hooking me up :D

Yeah, we came from the bottom up and then snap it just fell into place, there was small gaps were the screws go but nothing big. Taking it off was a b**** because of the tight fit.

think a PR5 would look good without the mintblue type 2 rear and just the front and side skirts from the mintblue?

I had the front and sides on for a few weeks by themselves and the car looks dumb without a matching rear piece. The car is so much lower all around and then just cuts off in the rear.

I think it looks o.k., but it's missing something. Mintblue has the best rears for the P5.
