So I was looking for a solution to black out the calipers on my CX-5 and I came across MGP Caliper Covers. Anyone have any experience with them? They have some decent reviews, but I'm just curious what your thoughts are on them? http://www.carid.com/2013-mazda-cx-5-caliper-covers/

I'd probably choose their matte black finish as I'm going for a blacked out look on this CX-5. I have 19" TSW Donington wheels and when the vehicle is in motion the silver calipers are clearly visible. I know it's a small detail that most people may not notice, but I'd still like to black them out. I'm not opposed to spray painting the calipers, but these seem like they might have a more finished look.

Here's a picture of my CX-5 that they'd be going on.

$180 for a poser item (listed right over rim rings no less that should tell you something lol).. no way! You'd better off painting it with high temp paint and it won't look near as silly.

^ THIS!

These actually hurt your breaking performance as they retain the brake heat, instead of letting it vent as designed. And believe me, brakes get HOT!

Paint your stock calipers, or spend $1000+ on a actual big brake kit.

They look nice but I agree with the above post, it is a good way to glaze the disk pads by overheating. Paint them instead if you want color.

Please don't. It's like carrying around an XXL Magnum condom when your size is about average...
