Metal to Metal sound coming from shifter

has anyone noticed the metal sound while shifting i hear it when shifting. It sounds like something rubbing together in the shift boot let me know if you guys hear it. Also does your radio just all the sudden go out and retract and you have to hit the reset button mine has done it a few times. Just curious.


Will install MBC soon My injen came tofay installing this week gotta get to track too.

check to make sure the bottom of your shifter isn't hitting against the heat sheild..

i get a rubber squeak when shifting when: i drive somewhere and park my car for like 5-10 min. when i get back in the car the shifter will give a squeaking sound when i shift. i've only noticed it during the day when it's warm out. however, while driving the squeak will go away after an odd number of minutes. anyone else have the same thing? it's definitely the shifter too. if i'm in neutral and just wiggle the shifter around in a circle then i'll hear it.

my freind said maybe grease the shift linkage?
