So I'm boosting my miata since its so god awful slow. Gonna be running megasquirt v1 or v2 on it. Got to thinking, why does no one use megasquirt on the msp? Or third gen protege for that matter? I know there's obviously more going on in the msp vs my 93 miata but what all would have to be done to run say megasquirt v3? And how much other things does the stock ecu handle? Other than the obvious things?

With your miata you should be able to get a pnp megasquirt with basemap from stratified

There are Megasquirt retailers that will pre-assemble for you. I contacted one a couple of months ago- $760 is what they quote me. I can't remember who it was, but I'll see if I still have the email.

Haven't gotten that far yet. But I know theres a way to trick the stock speedo into working with standalones. If not, I'll end up buying a digital tach gauge.
