I wrote mazda about a month ago about this hesitation issue we were experiencing with a number of you doing this as well.

With all the talk that mazda is aware of our problem i decided to e-mail mazda USA again and this is the reply i recieved, basically this guy stated that their is no recall or issue yet and will be notified if their ever is. Maybe this guy doesn't really know what mazda is doing but this is really pissing me off and I am tired of this. I could barely pull enough acceleration to get on the freeway today after getting gas the dam thing just didn't want to go.

E-mail i recieved below:

Dear Aaron,

Thank you for contacting Mazda North American Operations. I appreciate
the opportunity to respond to you.

In regards to your inquiry, I have again confirmed that there still are
no Special Service Programs, recalls, or Technical Service Bulletins.
If ever there is a recall or Special Service program initiated, you
will be contacted.

Again, if there is any matter that requires repair, this may, as
always, be addressed at a Mazda dealership. They will be able to
distinguish any problems with your (or any) vehicle from normal
operating characteristics. They may enlist the assistance of Mazda
Quality Assurance technical information as needed. Therefore, your
point of contact for any of these matters remains to be the Service
Manager at your dealership.

Rest assured, you have been heard and your comments have been
documented for corporate record. I have from an earlier correspondence
forwarded them for review by our Product Planning department.

Again, thank you for contacting Mazda. It has been my pleasure to
assist you. If for any reason this response has not completely
satisfied you, please feel free to reply to this message. You may also
contact our Customer Assistance Center toll-free at 1-800-222-5500.

hesitation issue with this car that every msp owner I know about 50 or
more are having. Has Mazda found a problem with this?

just another typical response from joe bloe sitting behind a desk somewhere. I got this a lot as well, and I'm not surprised. Mazda is fixing the clunk, but I bet I can still call someone and get the same response as above even though I know it to be false.

Basically, not everyone in Mazda, or any large company for that matter can always know everything that is going on.

oh, and basically, he's "little people" and he's not told anything until the "big people let him know"

same story anywhere you go for any product.
