Mazda Premacy 2003

Hi, I have had very few problems with my MAZDA PREMACY. I do very little mileage, hence 31,00 miles on the clock. However, over the last few weeks, the accelerator has started racing, if I push too hard. This happens mostly in second and four gears.

The car has been regularly serviced, so I would appreciate any advice as to what could be causing this. With only 31,000 miles showing, I cannot believe it is the clutch on the blink!!

Could there be any other reason, before I take it to the nearest garage ().

It might only be needing a PCM Re-flash. Sometimes after the Mfg. has recorded "common" concerns after a new model release, they find out that there were glitches in the software. So they re-write the coding, and then you take the vehicle in, the tech checks for possible re-flash (PCM) updates (kindof like when you update the Windows '98 to Vista) and then the tech returns the vehicle to you. So that might be the case. Warranty should apply and all you have to do is spend the time.
