Mazda 5 HAPPY

Yup! I'm a newbie to Mazda Forums. I joined because I own and enjoy my 2008 Mazda 5. It has served my family well as our primary driver 7 days a week. It has plenty of space for the day to day needs of a family of 5 and it has ample space when my oldest son and I moved to Boston for 6 weeks in March 2008.

I am hoping to find other 5 owners that have had experience in re-programming the automatic transmission, and possibly adding some additional HP. I see that I am not the only one that would love to see a Mazda 5 Speed edition. Something with a nice inter-cooled twin turbo and a sweet 6 speed manual. The handling of the 5 would perform well with the added HP and manual gears.

Man I am so with you on reprogramming the automatic on mine, too! The downshifting is crazy. I'm curious why you are wanting to reprogram yours.
