Mardi Gras

School is more than crazy so I haven't posted 80 times a day as I use to.
But have yall ever been to Mardi Gras. Even you guys in Canada have to go once. (if for no other reason than to escape the freezing cold.) Its the biggest longest party you'll ever go to. You'll have more stories than you have people to tell them. That is if you remember what you did, how you got there, or how you got home.

you all owe it to yourselves to try mardi gras at least once. it doesn't matter where in louisiana you go for mardi gras, as long as you go. there is a celebration style for every like and dislike. everything from the wild things you see and hear about in new orleans to the good ol' fashioned chicken chases in the rural areas. either way you go or anyplace you go in between, you're going to have fun. and not all of the activities will wind wind up in divorce. (hump)

I was in New Orleans this past weekend. (Fri-mon) had to leave before tuesday to get back to work, but it was one HELL of a party! Probably going back next year. I was with my fiance and 3 others. Walking down Bourbon St. firday night, this hot chic just came over and started kissing on me. Not to shabby if I do say so. My fiance just laughed it off. She figured it was all part of the experience. Damn I'm lucky to have her.

Oh yeah, spent most of the time on Bourbon St. at the Cats Meow (I think that was it) bar. The balcony was fun, and the Girls Gone Wild balcony was across the street. Nice scenery some times.

I went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans back in 2000...I was only 19, but it was good times...when you're on bourbon st..don't go too far down the street, there's some frickin wierdos down there...
other than that..lots of (upbum)

What a great place

Went to Mardi Gras once in HS (couldn't do much), but I went to New Orleans twice last year (drove with my P5 from CT, nice ), once during the Summer and the other time for New Years!!

I tell you, the place is crazy and it's lots of fun(drinks)(boobs), but I just think it's a great city in general, with great people, great food (love that cajun goodness, I could kill for some jambalaya right now), and awesome music.

Being there during the "off season" and during the party times I got to really know more of the New Orleans culture, which I love.

Love that Jazz and the whole Nawlins atmosphere and mood.


ps-I would also be great if I could go to the Final Four this year(in NO) and if my school would make it to the Final Four, UConn (although I really doubt it, but there's always hope). I went in '99 to Florida for our only championship and it was such a great time.

Yeah, that was a great year, Duke had an undefeated record to keep, UConn had a consistent scorer in Hamilton and a great leader in El Amin.
I remember watching the Duke/Michigan St Final Four game in FL and Duke didn't look that impressive and destructive live. I knew we had a good chance. Aah, great days...
