i have so much respect for those men and women. they are on the forefront of human exploration. those people knowingly risk their lives just to do simple experiements for the rest of the world. i am an avid space freak, and those little experiments get us closer to unlocking the universe.
NASA says they want to ground all future missions. i think this would be a severe diservice for us as a whole. we as humans have had such a horrible time in the years previous learning how to live with each other, and now finally we have the technology and know how to reach the next and final frontier. Space is such a massive place, and there is so much to learn.
i agree with you big ben about how america idolizes crap. scientists are very hard to replace, and the creativity associated with each individual is priceless. someday there will be a human kid living on Mars, and he'll look up at the stars and point to Earth, and wonder how he got there. and that is the dream we need to hold on to. remember our hero's and pray for their families.
